Attendance Policy
In order to provide quality care, I have established an attendance policy for my clients. The goal is to ensure that appointments are attended, therapeutic treatment progresses, and communication is facilitated between client and therapist.
No-shows
If an appointment is missed without cancellation, there is a no-show fee of $50 USD. This fee is waived for medicaid/Husky clients.
Back-to-back appointments
If two appointments are missed back-to-back, I will reach out through the patient portal in order to confirm our next appointment. If I do not hear from you, our case may be closed prior to the next appointment.
Frequent appointments
If 3 or more appointments are missed during a 3 month period, via no-show or late cancellation, I will reach out via the patient portal or during session to discuss attendance and confirm our next appointment.
Attendance contracts
If needed, I will work with you to establish an attendance contract, wherein attendance must be maintained for 2-4 weeks or our case will be closed. An appointment that is rescheduled within a week is acceptable.
The value of communication
Additional consideration is often given to clients who are able to communicate with me to solve attendance issues. While it may not solve all problems, I am much more able to work with you if you are willing to work with me!
